Winter Respite Center

(January–February 2026)

Each winter, Carmichael HART (Homeless Assistance Resource Team) operates a Winter Respite Program to provide warmth, dignity, and essential support to neighbors experiencing homelessness during the coldest months of the year.

From January 3 through February 28, 2026, our community comes together to offer safe daytime respite spaces where guests can rest, warm up, enjoy a hot meal, and access essential resources in a welcoming and respectful environment.

Need a Safe Place to Stay During the Day?

Carmichael HART Respite Center offers a free, safe, and welcoming space for individuals experiencing homelessness in our community.

Four years ago, Carmichael HART operated a rotating winter sanctuary program. However, due to COVID-19, we are unable to provide overnight accommodations at this time. Instead, we are offering daytime services, including meals, resources, and a safe place to rest.
