Volunteers from several local churches will come together to facilitate the program on their assigned days.

How Can You Help?
We’re looking for caring individuals who are eager to make a difference by volunteering at the Winter Respite Program. Whether you can commit a little or a lot, we offer various roles to match your availability and interests. Groups are especially encouraged to participate.
Additionally, we are seeking churches or community spaces willing to donate space for a week or longer to help provide shelter and support.

Need a Safe Place to Stay During the Day?
Carmichael HART Respite Center offers a free, safe, and welcoming space for individuals experiencing homelessness in our community.
Four years ago, Carmichael HART operated a rotating winter sanctuary program. However, due to COVID-19, we are unable to provide overnight accommodations at this time. Instead, we are offering daytime services, including meals, resources, and a safe place to rest.
